Pyxis has arrived – Thanks to Wicklow Sailing Club
We are now safely tied up in Wicklow to a warm Irish welcome of Guinness. As with all offshore yacht races the tales in the bar were of a hard race and lots of shared experiences. We had a wonderful welcome from the crew of Persistence who we had regularly crossed tacked with and raced closely down the Irish Sea - thanks guys for a great competition.

Still at it but homeward stretch (Day 7) – Pyxis
After a pretty grim day yesterday spent in the cold salty washing machine known as the Irish Sea, it decided to be kinder to us overnight with some good sailing in vaguely the right direction at times, when the tide permitted, and a settling sea state. We resumed proper off watches able to snatch a couple of hours out of out wet outer kit, although everything now has a salty dampness.

The Irish Sea, FINALLY (Day 6)
As I write this I am lying below deck on the spinnakers as it is too wet and rough to get out of foulies and lifejacket. Well we finally made the Irish Sea during last night after what seemed like an age of the lack of wind not featuring on the forecast.

Boom Boom (Day 5) – Pyxis
Today has been challenging, first no wind then wind in an unhelpful direction meaning a tedious beat against the tide to Malin head. Now starting to get tide but looks like we are in for a heavy beat all the way to the finish once in the Irish sea.
