Soak up the pre-race atmosphere as the yachts make their final preparations for the race and begin to leave the Harbour to start the race on Sunday 24th. Yachts will be moored along the East Pier and South Quay.
The yachts will begin arriving in Wicklow Harbour from midday on Friday 22nd June.
The Start
As the race start gets closer some of the most popular spots to watch the race are on the East Pier and along the coast towards the Black Castle and Wicklow Head.
The start line will be between the lighthouse at the end of the East Pier and a specified Committee Boat, which historically has been an Irish Naval Vessel. The yachts will start across that line heading in a southerly direction towards Wicklow Head.
The Finish
The finish line will between the lighthouse at the end of the East Pier and a finishing mark approximately 100 metres due east of the lighthouse. The finishing mark will display a flashing light at night.
The yachts are required to notify the Race Office at least 30 minutes before they expect to finish. So keep an eye on the Race Tracker and our updates on Twitter and Facebook to find out when the individual boats will be finishing!
