IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ENTRANTS AND INTENDING ENTRANTS

RE: SPECIAL REGULATIONS INSPECTIONS

 

Entrants and intending entrants should complete their ISAF Offshore Check List as soon as possible. The Check List is to be completed by referring to the ISAF Offshore Special Regulations.  The Round Ireland is a Category 2 Race and Regulation 3.2.1 n) makes AIS Transponders compulsory now for all Category 2 Races.  This is an additional safety measure and the Race Inspectors will be checking for compliance with the ISAF Offshore Special Regulations.  The tracking device that will be fitted for the Round Ireland is not an AIS transponder.

Also, the Race Inspectors will be looking especially at lifejackets and their servicing and life rafts – ref. Special Regulations 4.20, particularly 4.20.2 with the specification and date of manufacture of the life raft, also the packs in the life raft.
